Mine gave me the book symbol with the stick the first 2 times i tried it. So i waited til today and it finally gave me an answer!? I was gonna call and send it back if it did again because they are super pricey to be getting a faulty test!

That's happened to me before and it seemed to be because it didn't get enough urine on the test strip. I started dipping those tests into a cup instead and left them in for about 15-20 seconds before I took it out they seemed to work fine after that.
