How soon is too soon?
Okay I'm due December 9th and it's my first baby so of course there is a possibility of it being later. This year I will have 3-4 family Christmases going on. With it only being a couple weeks between birth and the celebrations I want to know if it would be safe to take baby out to those gatherings. It will be a little cold here in Oklahoma but if we start the car and warm it up we won't be outside for more than just a minute or two. Would you other mommies do it? Also I don't want a lot of people touching baby because of cold and flu season and before two month vaccinations. I was told if I do go to these family gatherings to wear baby in a wrap or sling to keep everyone from touching. I know it's exciting because everyone in my family loves babies so I don't want to be mean or rude. Is that rude to keep baby close to me? I just know if one person wants to hold and snuggle they all will and I don't want to pass him around that young. What are your thoughts and opinions? I'm also not a super crazy germ a phobic person, I just want to keep my baby safe since his little immune system can't fight too hard while so young.
