IUI??

Question

So we went to our fertility specialist on base this week (second time seeing her). She is now sending us to another specialist off base to talk about "Artificial Insemination". Any of you ladies go through that?? If so any advice or what they do?? The cost?? How long it takes??

I know this is a couple of weeks old, just wanted to wish you luck! I got lucky and my insurance covered almost everything for my IUI. But first time was the charm for me! I had baseline blood work, took letrozole cd3-7, more bloodwork, cd 10 did a follicle check with only 1 small follicle, cd 12 showed two small follicles, cd15 showed 2 healthy follicles at 18 and 21mm. Did the trigger shot that night and then had back to back iuis on cd 16 and cd17. My husbands post wash count was 12 million each morning. I tested out my trigger 6dpiui and got the faintest of faint BFP on 11dpiui. Confirmed BFP with blood test 14dpiui and am currently 7+3! It is a long and emotional process but it paid off for me. Hi again!! Our total IUI was 700$ but it varies on price. I know some places it's higher. They'll conduct ultrasounds, blood tests, or even speed analysis. If the RE sees that he/she wants to start you on your next cycle, then you may prescribe you clomid or something alike, that's you'd take generally either CD3-7 or CD5-9 or longer depended on your follicles, I personally did 10 days clomid and had ultrasounds and blood work done at least twice a week. My timeline was usually AF started 4th of month, insemination happened 16/17th. Then you wait !

Our iui was 250. We only paid for the sperm wash. That was through tricare. It just depends where you go.
