Prep for water breaking??

Question

What are you all doing if anything to prepare for water breaking? I'm worried it will happen while I'm in my vehicle, bed, couch, etc and stuff will get ruined. I've heard of a few options but not sure which is best....

Well, I'm putting a pad underneath me when I sleep starting at 36 weeks. I'm 32 now! This is my 3rd pregnancy. My water broke in my sleep at 38 weeks with both kids. Since my husband had to clean it up he's the one suggesting for me to put something down.

I'm on baby 5... 4th pregnancy never had my water break on its own... one of my twins actually started to come out in her sack till they stopped her and pushed her back in (she was breech)... I'm not to worried about it

Odd question, but doesn't everyone already have waterproof mattress covers/protectors on their mattresses?

im just guna let it happen if it happens. maybe carry some towels in the car. my first pregnancy i was sitting on the couch and felt weird so i got up and made it to the bathrm before it just gushed out. my 3rd pregnancy it was 2 am so i was sleeping and it went all over my blanket. luckily it didnt soak thru.

I've had 3 babies so far and my water has never broke until right before I pushed them out. I never thought to prepare in case it breaks. I already always have a waterproof mattress cover on my bed though, we had to buy it with our mattress for the warranty.

It only really happens in 11% of pregnancies, so I'm really not worried too much about it. Mine broke as I was walking into the hospital with my daughter. If it happens, it happens. It's part of the process.

Nothing. This is my 6th and my water has only broken once where it made a mess (ran down my leg - but I was at home), the other times, it was a trickle and I just put a pad on.

My water broke in my sleep with my second son. Now with my 3rd, I'm almost hoping it happens again cause I don't wanna be in public and it happen and people think I pissed myself.

5th baby here. Im one of the minority. My waters breaking is my first sign of labour - at least it has been for the other 4. I'll def wear a pad (or 3!) from about a week b4 my due date if I go out.
