40+5 How fast can labor start??

Question

Just went to my last doc appointment and scheduled to go in and be induced at 7am on Friday.

Is there still hope that I could go into labor naturally? How fast can it come on? I am not dilated and my cervix isn't softening...

There's still hope.  When I had my son, I was in full blown labour, went to the hospital, was checked and told "hun, you're not having a baby any day soon" and that I wasn't dialated or effaced at all.  I was sent home.  Well I had my son three hours later.  I sent from 0-10cm in 3 hours.  It is possible!

I had my dr appt on Wednesday, completely closed and no sign of anything (super dissapointed). On Saturday night 10:30pm my water broke (when I went in I was only dialated to a 2) and I had my baby at 1:52pm the next day!

Hang in there, you're baby will be here in no time. I'm getting impotent as well but God will make it happen when he sees its the right time.
