When we were dating it was very important to me. We didn't live near each other, and I'm not someone who is ok with constantly having to drive someone else around.
Now we live together and he lives within walking distance of where he works, so he sold his car. I'm ok with that, because he can still drive mine and I don't mind sharing it.
I don't think I could deal with a partner who didn't drive at all.

I'm actually terrified of driving so I don't drive. But I don't make him drive me around all over the place. Plus we do have a child and it'd be nice to be able to get around easily with him. When we first got together he didn't have a car and I had one and I never drove though but now he drives it!

100% important to me. He needs to be able to get himself wherever he needs to go and not rely on my car or my time. It's equally as important for me to have my own car. I honestly couldn't date someone who didn't.

I dated a guy with a car for a year and he drove me every where and on all our dates. Then I dated a different guy two years later for a year and I drove him around A LOT. I mean I became like his taxi and he never paid for gas and I drive a truck so yeah it was bad. I was pretty annoyed by it. But he recently got a car so I make him drive me every where now lol. It depends on the person. I didn't care till I was being taken advantage of

My boyfriend right now does not own one due to harsh circumstances and I'm okay with it because he's going to get one soon but I would say it's very important because it has been hard with just me as the driver

In my area it's very detrimental but I also know how many struggles my area has, too. I'll help if someone is actively helping themselves. If not, they can pay Uber to drive the extra miles here
