Is buying the lotto a waste of time?

I feel like nobody ever wins and my husband buys and checks his tickets all the time im like really? 😒😂 I bought one lotto ticket when i turned 18 and that was it i lost (duh!) And was never interested again. I think its a waste of money and time. What do you all think?

There's no harm in it if it's a once in a while thing. But if someone is inclined to buy them often they'd be better off putting that money into savings.

Sooo, a girl here in our hometown, scratched a bunch of tickets and planned to pay them off after she won big. Problem was, she never won haha. Of course she got in trouble. My dad buys them for fun and has won 200 or 80 bucks... to me, it's like saving your money and in a few months, you get a small portion back at once. If it isn't taking food from the table or the roof from over the head, have fun and good luck!
