What to pack

Ladies I need some advice as to what to pack in our hospital bag. I am looking for some suggestions and if you have a go to brand of something that would be helpful. Ftm and not the slightest clue on how to prep for delivery.

Clothes that fit you 2nd trimester, cute is not as important as comfy unless you're taking tons of pictures of yourself. No slip socks (you can make your own with puffy paint). It's easiest to stay in the robe they give you and change before you leave. Overnight maxi pads and cheap granny panties. Toiletries and makeup if you wear it. Light snack for quick energy and a water bottle. Unless you're getting a c-section trying to stay hydrated off ice chips is wicked frustrating. Charger for your phone. 2 or 3 outfits for your baby. Short sleeve kimono style shirts are great so umbilical cord gets plenty of air. The hospital will give you diapers, a hat and swaddler for baby, and mesh disposable underwear for yourself.

I reviewed many lists/blog posts that I found through searching on Pinterest. I ended up packing more than many moms-to-be and less than others. Reading a variety of list ideas helped me make my own, based on what I felt I would want to have. So, I recommend using google or Pinterest to search for ideas and make your own list! Lip balm and hair ties seem to be a very common item!

My hospital suggested lip balm since the air is dry, going home outfit for baby and a couple snacks. For my first I also brought some travel size shower items and comfy going home clothes for myself. For me my bump was obviously smaller but still present after birth so maternity leggings were great!
