I've always heard it that way, but I live in a predominantly Filipino community and they say the exact opposite—that you get uglier with a boy. That was definitely true when I was pregnant with my son. My face swelled and my smile got so ugly. I had pictures taken at 7 months and I swear I was smiling, but I looked so horrible. I feel ya!

A horror show. I feel bad for the people I work with. As far as my husband goes. I went out and bought really cute pajamas to wear at home, so I don't look completely homeless and horrible. He appreciates my efforts.

Haha I totally agree! My gosh, with my son I felt beautiful my whole pregnancy, this one makeup can't seem to touch it. But yes I agree, baby girl can have whatever she wants ;)

I'm having a girl and think I look 10x better than pre pregnancy! My skin got clear and smooth. My nails and hair got shiny and hard. I got the cute basketball bump (not the barrel). I'm constantly told I'm glowing and I can see it myself! I've also gotten very lucky with no stretch marks so far. And to top it all off, I've lost 22 pounds since I've gotten pregnant (yes, baby is healthy and growing!)
I feel wonderful 😊 I wish every woman was this lucky!

My hair is thicker and my skin is flawless lol for the first time ever in years & I'm having a girl; but I'm gaining to much weight to fast even though I'm sick most the time and eating is hard, so that extra estrogen does not do my body justice lol. My body always gains easy when I'm pregnant, I could just look at food and gain.
