Stripping membranes

I had my membranes stripped yesterday. Very painful but worth it. I have been having contractions about one every 30 minutes to an hour, which I wasn't having them before at all. Anyone experience this same thing? I am also bleeding goopy blood and trying to figure out if it is my mucus plug or just the blood from the procedure. Any comments or thoughts welcome.
