Has any one tried castor oil and have it work yet not work???

A friend of mine was told by her doctor to use it and when she takes it she gets contractions for a few hours but then they go away and nothing else happens she just feels yucky the next day

Don't do castor oil. The only thing it will do will give you horrible diarrhea. It probably won't even send you into labor. If it does then you'll be in labor trying to have a baby with the runs. Try other things first.

She needs to question that doctor. I am in medical school and no medical professional I have encountered would ever reccomend castor oil. It can cause baby to poop in the womb which can cause severe complications for both mommy and baby, it can cause infection, and other issues. Some have done it with no harm done but some do suffer consequences. I wish your friend the best of luck, God Bless!

I was two weeks late tried three time and nothing just gave me the shots .then afterward I read it can actually hurt your baby I bawled I was so scared .do some crazy dance lol

Definitely tell her to stop using it and to rethink this doctor. All it does it make you go to the bathroom and can cause baby to poop which can be very dangerous to mom and baby.
