How long before you got blood test results back?

I got my blood drawn Monday afternoon for a blood pregnancy test. The woman drawing the blood said I should have results the next day. It's now Thursday and I still haven't heard anything! I'm starting to get very anxious and frustrated! For the ladies who have had a blood test done, how long did it take your doctors office to get back to you?? Thanks.

It depends on what's being tested. Some results are same day, others can take a few days.

It shouldn't take long but I'm sure they do have to send it out to a reference lab and it's possible their instrument is down or something causing it to take longer. I work in a lab and unfortunately things like that do happen... I'd call again though at least tomorrow if you don't hear back!

I called yesterday and they basically just said they have to wait for the results and then the doctor has to go over them and then they'll call, and that they're "soo backed up, but I'll let the doctor know you're anxious". Well, yeah, I would like to know whether or not I'm pregnant. 🙄 so their office is so busy they don't have time to call and say yes you're pregnant or no you're not pregnant.

I was told the same thing but I called 2 days later because I was too anxious. I'd call.
