signs of mastitis?!?

So last night baby slept for 4 extra hours than what she normally does that's a whopping 7 hours in total! I woke up in excruciating pain in my left boob so hard so I jumped up and pumped that boob and nursed in the other but my boob has stayed painful like it's engorged no matter how much I pump, feed and massage, I'm also freezing cold like freezing I'm in Southern California and even outside in chilly

I had it twice. Both times I woke up from a nap with my newborn and I was freezing and shivering, but had a fever and headache.

Mastitis you get chills really bad and have fever 100 and up. You will notice s lump in breast. I was put on two different antibiotics but after I finished them my mastitis developed to an abscess to I had to go ER. They cut my breast open to drain it. 4 weeks of craziness of hell.

That is me today. Woke up with ridiculous chills, took my temp and had a fever and my body was achy. My left breast is in excruciating pain, 3 red spots. I pump and massage every 3 hours and massage in between constantly. I honestly had to have my SO massage the breast for me because I couldn't bring myself to massage it hard enough 😖

For me, if a feather touched my boob I would have been in tears. Plus there was a wedge of red that started at my nipple and moved outward. I never had a fever, but was also on antibiotics within a few hours of having a good idea that's what it was.
