Are you going to get the Rotavirus vaccine to your baby??

Question

I didn't know about this vaccine, but my sister-in-law I should schedule an appointment at a Private Clinic to get that injection to my baby exactly when she gets 2months old. 
Well...I searched about it and lots of babies get bad reactions and become sick!
I really don't feel like I should do that to my baby... 
What are your opinions? ?

My little one got hers today (it's given orally) and we're only 9 hours later, but no major reactions so far.

My baby had his shots and the oral rotavirus vaccine and he was fine, no problems. For every reaction you read about there's like a 1,000 babies that had no reaction. Medical treatments (all treatments, medications) have the potential to have a bad reaction in a small subset of the population but it's all about weighing pros and cons and immunizations have way more pros than cons. If scientists weren't to put out medications/vaccines just because a small subset of the population had a bad reaction then we wouldn't have any treatments whatsoever. But do what you think is best

My LO had hers yesterday along with her two needles and she's good. I gave her Tempur drops to prevent a fever afterwards. She was even smiley a bit when we got home. The nurse had me give her the oral vac and she loved it. The needles not so much😞 she was a bit fussy and slept a lot yesterday and woke up more times for feedings last night but was smiley and happy today

My daughter got hers! It's oral and her doctor told me it's like a sugar water that she's tasting nothing awful she enjoyed it and that was 2 weeks ago she's perfectly fine :)

Absolutely! It's not a vaccine, it's an oral liquid. My friend didn't give it to her baby and she caught the rotavirus at 6 months old and had to be hospitalized for two weeks because she became so serverly sick and dehydrated. My last two LO's have received it with 0 side effects. My 2 year old caught the virus when she was 1 and literally threw up once and was over it all thanks to early prevention. They hadn't came out with it when I had my twins 10 years ago and they got sicker than a dog at about 10 months. I'm talking blowouts on the hour coming out of both ends for 2 days. It was horrible!

OK my opinion is… I was very against my son getting all of these vaccines at the same time.   I have several friends who are crazy about vaccinating their children… They still do but they are on an alternate schedule

**rotavirus is the only one that is live that is given to our children**
--Sidenote my husband is actually going through chemotherapy right now for Hodgkin's lymphoma and at my son's previous two appointments they told me that he would not get that vaccination however when I went for his two month appointment they looked it up in their medical book and said that he should in fact get it… The doctor made me feel a lot better about it and besides him being a little sleepy that day he has been fine
