normal guy thing?

My fiance never wants to say "together forever" because he says "anything can happen, whats meant to be will be" and it breaks my heart.. Is it a normal "guy" thing to think that way? I know things can happen, but why can't he just live in the moment. 😓

when my boyfriend tells me he loves me, at the end, he always says something like "forever and always babygirl." so I don't think it's really a guy thing..

sadly i'm of the opinion that when guys say that, they predict you'll break up eventually. that's how it was with a guy i dated once. we always dealt in "ifs" not "whens." we only lasted a little over three months

I had a guy like that before and couldn't do it. My man always lets me know he knows we'll be together till the end and tells me nothing could or ever would tear us apart.

im kinda in the same boat as you are.

my SO wont say "youre my everything" because hes going into the marines and that means more to him than i do.

and i guess i understand that, he's had that dream longer than hes had me. but it does hurt. 😬

Some men are overly practical to the point where they are seemingly indifferent whereas other men have an easier time expressing emotions. My husband's default tends to appear indifferent but when he says stuff that bothers me I tell him right away, and I tell him why it bothers me and how it makes me feel. Once he realizes how he's made me feel we are able to move on and have a conversation about it. With my husband he often doesn't realize the impact his words have. Good luck
