boyfriend or just friends?

Okay so I'm kinda seeing this guy. We met at a confirmation  (a celebration we have in Norway when we turn 14-15 years) and we laughed and made fun of the same people. I felt a connection and we met again. AND WE KISSED! He told me he loves me and I said it back. But yeah, I'm kinda scared I'm gonna get hurt, as I have been a lot by guys lately.. What should I do? I really really like him..
