Friends Art show

I'm a manager at cafe/bar/social hall where we host local artist work the first Friday of every month. I am new to coordinating these events, but have a lot of artist friends, so I asked one of my close photographer friends if she'd be interested. She was, everything went great until last, Friday night someone stole one of her pieces. I didn't find out about it till Monday morning and notified her immediately, I checked the space out too, but couldn't be sure if something was actually missing until she came to confirm. Now she didn't come till Tuesday night, when she then discovered something was missing. She was very angry with me for not actually knowing something was missing, this all happened while I was in my 3 1/2 long evening class, so I asked if she could text me about work during the time I am actually working. She then called me while I was at work the next day saying the media wants to do a piece on the stolen art. I told her I would talk to the appropriate managers about that, as media decisions are ablove my pay grade. I told her I was busy at work and would get back to her when I asked them, and she hung up on me.  I brought it up to the owner of my company and he said they could do the shoot just not to involve our name. Well the media decided not to pursue it after all, and she believes I had something to do with them not filming. And she's claiming I am not being a good friend in this whole situation, but I've done all I can in my power to help. I've tried to keep our friendship out of this situation because this happened at work. I don't think this should have affected our friendship but she's threatening to end our friendship over this.  Now with the way she's treated me thru this all I'm questioning if I should try to save the friendship or let the pieces fall where they may.
