convertible car seat

Oh the struggle of deciding on a convertible car seat.... So I was dead set on the new clicktight technology by Britax, but now I've been reading that the crotch strap is too short so once your baby starts getting bigger, the straps cut into their legs. What convertible car seats do you ladies LOVE? Also, what are the downsides about your car seat? Would you recommend?
