has anyone been bit during oral sex?

So today my boyfriend went down on me for the first time and it was good. Until he started biting my clit it hurt so bad and there's actually some broken skin on it and I told him how bad it hurt and I think he may have been a little embarrassed so I didn't get too angry with him because I know he didn't mean to hurt me. So I just put some antibacterial ointment on. Has anyone ever experienced this? If so do you have any suggestions on how to nicely tell him to be easy without embarrassing him? Or how to treat it?
