My boyfriend and I have one of the double ended ones meant to pleasure me at the same time.  I've given it to him from behind once and it was difficult. a good harness and dildo is worth its weight in gold. look at the webcomic "oh joy sex toy" for recs for both.

there are double ended ones and ones designed to pleasure you while you're wearing it but i find them to be hit or miss in terms of usefulness or comfort. but you might find one that might work for you! even if a toy says it can be used without a harness, i always prefer one if possible for additional stability.

don't forget some good (toy-compatible) lube.
