Anybody have Hyperemesis gravidarum???!

Hi I'm 12 +1 in my second pregnancy, I have recently come out or hospital with Hyperemesis gravidarum I had +3 keystone in my urine and they found electrolytes in my blood I was placed on a drip for 48 Hour due to extreme dehydration. I have a two year old and my partner is self employed however we have just bought a house and a new car we are now struggling to pay our bills as the amount of time her has had off. I feel like I'm heading straight back into hospital :-( I have no one who can help I don't know how to cope has anyone been through this how did you get through it ??

I was diagnosed with it and was prescribed Diclegis, which helped greatly. I'm 30 weeks tomorrow and I only just stopped getting sick a few days ago. If you don't want to take medicine I understand, just make sure you find things that keep you hydrated and that you can tolerate, which can take some time. I figured out that I didn't like Sprite or ginger ale, but I could tolerate lemon Gatorade and crackers. It can be difficult, especially when people act as if it's just normal morning sickness when in reality it can really drain you. Just make sure you rest and try to the best of your ability to stay hydrated. ❤️

My sickness never got that bad, so unfortunately I have no advice on how to make you feel better. But as far as the money issues, you should be able to apply for (and most likely get) short term disability if you're unable to work.

I had it too and it lasted until I hit 19 weeks I was in homehealth. And also applied for disability, it's by far the worst feeling ever I wish you the best and don't forget to pray and God to help you get thru this.
