To anyone who has used this before. Does this have a numbing formula? I see that it soothes nipples, is that because it's a cream or because of the formula? I'm sacred about breastfeeding, because so many people says it hurts so much.

It doesn't numb but it helps keep them from cracking! Breastfeeding is amazing! I made it 18 month with my first she never had formula! It does hurt at first but within a few weeks it's so easy! And for me it hurt when she first latched then as she fed it let up! It's just getting them used to the sucking! I swore by the cream though bc before I started using it my nipples cracked and were very sore!

That cream did not help me much at all. The best thing for me was to rinse my nipples and let them air dry after each feeding. Breastfeeding only hurt me the first week and it's mostly cause ur breast get engorged and my last baby was born in winter (whatever kind of winter I get here in Miami 😂)  and cold plus engorged boobs is horrible. But my husband found a great solution he microwaved damp wash clothes and I would put them around my boobs and they would literally name them so soft. Anyways my daughter is 20 months and I'm still breastfeeding her. You can do it! 😊👍

If it hurts you just need to ask for some help from a Midwife or a friend you know breast fed successfully. Main thing is if it's not for you just use a bottle. No shame in it. I persevered with my son for three weeks and ended up in a lot of pain with a hungry angry baby. This time round if it's sore or hurting I am straight to the bottle. Being a new mum is stressful enough without added pressure of being the best breast milk producer in town!! Xx

Breastfeeding should not hurt! If it is then I'd definitely see if there is a lip or tongue tie causing the poor latch that is causing you pain. I never had an issue with cracked nipples and I breastfed until my son self weaned at 13 months. I did though use coconut oil to prevent cracked nipples, when I remembered. I had been given cream as a baby shower gift but I wasn't a fan. You'll have a lactation consultant visit you in the hospital--use them and pick their brains as much as you can in there!

Only hurts the first week then you no longer feel it. I used something with honey I don't remember the brand. I also used to rub them with breast milk. That was a tip from my mother in law and I felt it soothed them. Breast milk is great for baby acne too 😅

No it doesn't numb. Breastfeeding is scary at first but don't let it overwhelm you. While you're in the hospital make sure you see the lactation nurse and they will help you make sure baby is latching correctly and answer any questions you have. What usually causes severe pain is latching wrong. Just remember it's a learning process for both you and baby. Your nipples will be sore at first, I mean it's not normal for us to have someone suck on them like that lol. Usually it's the first few sucks and then it'll ease up while you nurse and then eventually go away. You'll do great!

No it doesn't have a numbing effect, just helps with the cracked skin. Don't be scared of breastfeeding. It does hurt in the beginning but once you and baby get used to it it'll get easier.
