How helpful was a glider chair?

Question

I have a couch that reclines but I didn't know if having the actual gliding motion itself made a big enough difference to invest in a glider?? I can't find a comfy one I can see myself using a lot that's under $300 😰 the wood ones are creaky and I feel like it would wake up the baby! Just wondering if it's worth the investment! Thanks!

My friends had one and I wished I did. I breastfed on my bed leaning against the wall or on the couch and when he was little he would fall asleep eating and then I'd put him down and stay asleep but it was incredibly hard to get up from it and uncomfortable for me to sit. I wish I had one. Def will for this next one.

I got mine at Target.com super Cute to match her Nursery and incredibly comfy but I really don't use it much! I like to be out with the fam and as of now she sleeps in her Bassinet in our room so unless you find a cute cheap used one don't wast the mula!

We needed knew couches anyways so we bought 2 reclining glider love seats without the console in the middle. They are soooo comfy and make life so much easier i dont have to be away from the busy part of our house to rock our son!

I got a used one for $30. It's not the most comfortable thing but it's one more option for nursing.

I don't have an expensive one but it has been in my 2 year olds room since day one. I don't really care for the gliding motion though. I would have rather had a recliner so I could relax more while feeding. Or could have napped there on those nights when he was up every hour instead of up and down out of bed.

I can't justify spending $300-500 on a chair that isn't all that comfortable that I will only need for a few months. My son is now 2 and we only use it maybe 5 minutes a day at bedtime. I bought an inexpensive one from Walmart with the Ottoman. If I was going to spend hundreds, I would actually go to a regular furniture store and buy a lazyboy type chair that's more comfortable and I could use it longer or for another room if needed.

I use mine at least once a day. I bought it for 10$ at a garage sale.
