Acupuncture?

Does anyone have experience with acupuncture to kickstart labor? I have an acupuncturist that I know and trust, he's been doing acupuncture for my headaches for the longest and also helped with my sciatic pain during my pregnancy. He said that can do acupuncture if I don't have my baby on time and that most women will go into labor in 24 hours. Just want to know if anyone else has tried this method?

Did the accupunture this afternoon. They focused on my feet and lower legs. I was so relaxed I dosed off! I did have 1 contraction while there but nothing since. It can take 1-3 sessions. Plus, your body needs to be ready. I'll do it again if they don't induce me tomorrow. I'd definitely prefer accupunture over pitocin!

I'm trying tomorrow. Have my appointment at 3:30 and hoping it kick starts before they try to medically induce me.

I had a session. I've had many acupuncture sessions but they have to tweak these every 5 min. Well about 10 min in I had to take them out. Made me hot and sweaty all over. Felt like I was going to pass out. It was a strange sensation. The 10 min they were in made me have cx all night long but nothing came from it. Good luck hope it helps you!!!
