FTM, how much is too much?

Question

How many NB & 0-3mths clothing does a baby need? Blessed with an amazing turn out in my baby shower but I'm not sure if I need to return some clothes. Do babies usually wear 3-6mths longer?

Answer

It depends on how big the baby is when it's born, but I think most babies are in 3-6 and 6-9 month clothes longer. I've got about 12 each of babygrows and long sleeve undershirts, along with a couple of pairs of pants with feet,  dungarees and 3 cardigans in 0-3 months and hoping that I'll be able to do laundry about twice a week.

It completely depends on the baby! My friends have a little guy who is 1 now. He was in 24 month clothes at about 11 months lol! He did not get to wear a lot of his smaller outfits. On the other hand, I went to a rummage sale yesterday and she has a 2-year old who still wears 18-month clothes; she said he was in 3-6 forever! I would say keep them, buy maybe keep some aside in new condition so you can resell them for a better price if they don't get used, but you can use them if baby ends up needing them :)

I had soo...many clothes with my first son and we kept them all because I had no clue what all we needed. When we found out we were having a girl and knew that would be our last I bagged up all his clothes from NB-12M to donate and there were 7 big trash bags full. I remember looking through them and noticed most he didn't even wear and a few still had tags on them. 😂
