50% effaced but not dilated?

So does this mean baby might be coming soon? I'm 36 w and 2 days. They are doing an ultrasound next week to see how big she is, at 32 weeks she was already estimated at 5lb 7oz!

My doctor said it doesn't really tell when you will go into labor, but she did say that the more dilated and effaced you are prior to going into labor can mean a shorter labor since your cervix is already partially ready.

There's really no telling. A lot of women are dilated 1-3cm for weeks before labor.
