pain during sex

So I just started sleeping with this guy a month ago and when we first started having sex it was great. But the past week or two it's been super painful and I can't figure out why. I don't know if it's just with him cause I haven't been with anyone else. He's big too. But I'm just confused on why it would just start to hurt now. Kinda nervous something's wrong. Advice please!
