Tell me it gets better😭

I had Paraguard inserted just over a month ago. I spotted for about two weeks and had cramps but nothing more than usual period cramps, until the day I started my first period with the IUD and then I thought I was going to die. I ended up going to the hospital because I couldn't get off the floor without screaming in pain.

Long story short, after running a million tests they told me I was fine, that it's likely I just have a really bad period.

I bled for the full week and for the first time in my life I had to buy the super-ultra tampons and I had to change every couple of hours.

I should be starting my second period within the next day or two and I'm really not looking forward to being in such excruciating pain again. Someone tell me it gets better after a few months?
