Brown spotting & progesterone suppositories

Hey ladies. So on Sunday I started spotting brown. It started a bit red with very small blood clots but quickly turned brown. It only happened when I wiped. I went to my obgyn on Monday. I'm 8 weeks. My baby still has a great heart beat and was visible on ultrasound. All my blood work was normal. He also has me on baby aspirin because I have Rheumatoid arthritis and he wants to take precautions in case it affects my pregnancy. As I was leaving he asked me if I wanted to start progesterone suppositories. I asked him if he thinks I should and he said he'd think it'd be a good precaution, but everything is perfectly normal.

My insurance sucks and my copay would be $295 for them at CVS. So the office found a compound pharmacy where I can pay $75 out of pocket. I won't have them until next week and I'll be 9 weeks.

I'm just on the fence about taking stuff. My pregnancy has been normal thus far. I've never had any fertility issues. We conceived on our first try. I just wanted to get other opinions from ladies who have taken them. Has anyone started them at 9 weeks?
