Will I know what a contraction feels like?

Question

My two "babies" will be 18 years apart next month. When I had my first, my water broke and I didn't go into labor naturally. Consequently, all my contractions were pitocin induced and very intense.

The question is: Will I know what a normal contraction is when it happens? I "think" I've been having them infrequently for the past few days, but it doesn't feel at all like I remember. Nothing that makes me double over in pain or anything like that.

Maybe not right away, but as they intensify you will definitely know!

Mine are 15 yrs apart and this time was nothing like the first! I had mild Braxton Hicks at the end and got my membranes scraped and had several painful contractions after that! I knew exactly what they were even though it was 15 yrs ago and nothing at all like the first time! Each labor and delivery is different! Hopefully, this one goes better then the last! Unfortunately, mine was the opposite!!! Never ever doing that again!!!! Good Luck and whatever happens holding your new precious baby will make it all worth it!!!

Once they get close together you'll know for sure even if you don't feel how strong the pain is.

You'll know. Maybe not at first, but get in the bath, drink some water, take a nap or watch a movie. If they keep getting more and more intense you'll know it's the real thing. You got this.
