My mom said that one day, when I get married, I have to wear a white dress. She told me that if I don't wear a white dress (it can't be off white or colored), then she will not help pay for, or attend my wedding. Right now, I have a terrible relationship with my mother and we have never gotten along. Everyone said that will change as I get older, so I keep an open mind.
Anyways, she said if you wear a white dress it means that you are a virgin and if you wear anything besides white it means that you are unpure and unclean and you have had sec and you probably don't even care about getting married.

These are very dated but still practiced beliefs. You are allowed to deviate from tradition all you want.

I wore an off white, have been with my partner for 14 and married 7 of those years. We had sex before we were married, lived together before we were married and slept next to each other the night before our wedding.

I want to tell you how silly the tradition is but I get what it's like to have family believe so deeply in old practices. However, whatever you choose to do what really counts in a marriage is putting in the work.

I don't think either one of you a particularly "right." However, it will be your wedding day, and what you want you should get. You have to realize your mom has probably envisioned you on your wedding day since you were still in her womb, so she may be a little momzilla about the topic. It sounds like you're younger, if I'm inferring right, and yes, that relationship with your mother does tend to get easier with age. A white dress does truly mean purity, but you can still wear a white dress if you've had sex. It's more traditional these days than wearing a white dress as a representation of purity. I want my dress to be as white as snow and I am by no means "pure." I hope things get better between you and your mom, until your wedding, don't let it bother you :)

I hate people like this. If you want to have sex before getting married, you can! There's nothing bad! You're not going to marry a guy and then realise sex with him is horrible! Sex is important! You need to find the right partner for you and everything isn't about how in love you are in your minds! The physical part is also very important! 
Is you want to have sex, go for it. Your mother has no right to say that... Sex isn't unpure or dirty! Oh God! 
Now about wedding dresses... Yes, technically, you wear a white dress if you're a virgin and so thing else if you're not. But this isn't a rule! You can even wear jeans if you feel like it! It's your day, you wear whatever YOU like!
So fuck them all. You decide. And if your mother still thinks it's slutty then it's okay. She won't come to your wedding. Too bad. She doesn't deserve you, even if she's your mother. It doesn't mean anything.

Dude seriously the whole "virgin before marriage" and white dress thing is such bullshit. It's your life and you can live your life however you want to.
Like it's YOUR wedding and you can wear whatever the hell you want. Don't let your mother or ANYONE else dictate how you should be or what you need to do for yourself. You have to do what will make YOU happy. The fastest way to an unhappy life is to ignore your happiness to put everyone else and their opinions first. 
I'm not a virgin and I will most likely wear a white dress at my wedding just because I've already looked at dresses I adore and they're all white. But lately they have this trend where women are dying the bottoms of their dress or wearing colored petticoats underneath and I think it's so clever and gorgeous. I'm in love with it and if ANYONE gives me shit for wearing what I want at my wedding or how I choose to celebrate my marriage(because I am not have a traditional marriage)then they can go shove a finger up their butt and fuck right off. 
I understand your mom is your mom, but if she tries to control you and is unhappy with what you choose to do for YOUR big day and would want to act like a cunt then honestly you're better off without her even being involved. Because she'll be there, she'll be a bitter bitch, and ruin your big day because she'll just end up upsetting you by being bitter and spiteful.
If you're lucky she'll stop acting like that and allow you to be an adult and make your own choices. 
Seriously good luck though. I hope things work out and she'd rather support you and be there for your big day instead of being bitter and petty.

It's going to be your wedding at the end of the day and you wear the colour you want to it's what you love and feel best in don't let her unsupportive negativity ruin one of the best days you do what makes you happiest and she should see that and be happy and blessed that your happy if she doesn't she doesn't even deserve to be at your wedding the people who support you will be it's more her lose than yours
