for swaddle users: when did you or do you plan to quit?

I was too scared that it would effect his sleep cycle, but he tore out his ready swaddle and i had to stop somewhere. So we did it in week 17. Strangely, he sleeps better now.

We stopped at 3 months because he was rolling over. After 4 nights of really awful sleep while he adjusted he's back sleeping 9pm-7am.

Just quit the other night because he started trying to roll. He gets 3/4 of the way there and I'm afraid he's going to do his first roll while asleep and end up on his face while im asleep. So that was the end of that.

I cant quit. Last night my son somehow got his arm out and started crying immediately and woke himself up. I put his arm back inside and he kept sleeping.. im doomed!

I'm trying to decide on this!! I feel like he's ready to stop swaddling..... he seems like he's always trying to bust out. He's not rolling all the way over yet, but he does like rolling to the sides. I tried swaddling one arm out about a week ago and he woke up.... now I'm wondering if it was because that arm got cold since he was in short sleeves 😬 he's been waking up a lot more in the middle of the night... I'm not sure if that's because he's ready to stop the swaddle or just coincidence since he has a stuffy nose.

I stopped swaddling at 15w....but it didn't go well....so we transitioned to the Merlin's magic sleep suit and the crib too....and its going great so far. She will be 4 months on the 8th and is showing signs of rolling but hasn't yet. Her reflex thing is still going though lol. I'm hoping by the time she rolls that reflex will be gone and she can sleep without the suit

I've been transitioning slowly from a tight swaddle to a blanky wrapped around her from below the arms down since about 8 weeks or so. She still has times when I have to gently pull her arms in and rest my hand on them to get her to re-settle during a sleep but overall she likes having her arms out now at 16 weeks and will wiggle them free if I wrap them up.

Will probably switch to a sleeping bag once I transition her to the cot.
