Elijah made his way into the world much faster than anyone including the nurses and doctors were expecting. His due date was 10/6 but due to preeclampsia I was going to be induced on friday night at the hospital when my water broke at 2cm dilated while prepping for the first dose of a cervix prep. From there I started dilating very very fast. So fast that the doctors and nurses said they needed to stop or slow it down because Elijah was in distress. Not to mention I was having awful contractions less than a minute apart. By 5:36am after 15 minutes of pushing our little guy was here safe and sound weighing 7lbs 10 oz and we are so overjoyed he's such a blessing. Good luck to all you other mommies out there. It's amazing what our bodies were built to do.
