my L&D story from tonight

All day I was feeling crampy but figured I just needed to use the bathroom. Finally around 11pm, I was able to do so. The feeling did not go away. By midnight, I was having consistent cramps with back pain that came and went. I called my midwife at 1am. She said if they were continuing for an hour or got a lot stronger, call back. So I took my dogs to my moms house to be safe and headed home to relax for a little. 2am, the back pain is more intense. I called and she said okay come in and we'll check you. Contractions were confirmed immediately. By 3am they determined I was 1cm dilated, decided to wait and see if it progressed. 4am, I'm 2cm dilated. So now at 5am I began iv, meds to hopefully stop the contractions, and steroids for his lungs since I'm only 34w3d. The combo of cold iv fluid and the shots have me physically shaking all over. It's 5:25am now and I'm waiting for the iv to be done so they can check me again and see if everything is working to stop the contractions.
