Newborn photography?

Is anyone else going to be doing a newborn photo shoot? I just absolutely love   the photos when there so itty bitty and tiny!! I know the best is to do it when there between 6-14 days old.. but i'm going to be induced two weeks early so i'll be hopefully able to plan it around my induction date.

I'm just looking at prices now and they are damn ridiculous in some places!! I've searched around on deal websites and the overall photo shoot isn't expensive at all but then for 5 prints it's £250! I'm not going to be wasting that money when i've just got a newborn that's ludicrous!

Is anyone else planning on doing a shoot or just taking photos by yourself??

I wanted to get professional photos done so bad but unfortunately we cannot afford them right now. My parents purchased us a nice camera and we have been doing a lot of research so we are hoping to take them on our own. You tube has some good tutorials. I know we prob won't get any of the unique poses that require you to layer the photos and edit stuff out (my fav is baby resting chin on hands) but I'm hoping they still turn out okay.

It's expensive because good newborn photographers have a ton of overhead.   I am one.  I put $20,000 into my business between gear, props, lighting, training, etc.   Plus, a photo session can take hours and then editing the photos (as a good photographer should) takes hours as well.
