Okay so I'm planning on flying out to Spain next year with my baby. He'll be 8 months at the time. However I am not with the father as I ended it with him when I was 8 weeks pregnant because he was causing me domestic abuse. Controlling me, threatening me, stalking me etc. Me and the father were not married or living together at the time I fell pregnant. I've been advised by police to not put him on birth certificate becuase of what he is like. However the father is threatening to take me to court to get 50% rights. I'm just wondering what will happen when I go to sort out a passport for my baby? Will I need the fathers permission? Will I need his permission to take my baby to Spain? (It'll only be for a week or two as a holiday). Because if that is the case then I can't see it happening because he is such a controlling and nasty evil man! I wasn't aloud to make my own decisions it was always what he wanted.. I live in the U.K. By the way! I will get proper advise nearer the time but was just wondering if anybody else had been in this situation? Thankyou :)
