Does anybody else feel awkward going into an adult store even though you know they probably aren't judging you considering they work there?

Usually I feel good about it and crack jokes and pick shit up and make comments with my friends, until the time I bought my first item there and it was a 10 speed vibrating butt plug and before you buy it they test out the batteries to make sure it works (because obviously you can't return sex toys once they're taken out of the store.) and the lady took it out of the package in front of me and a friend, put in the batteries, pressed the plug against my hand and went through all 10 speeds and I had to assure her that they were all working fine for my intended usage. I don't think my face has ever been more red 😂

I have always wanted to visit one, but am too shy and nervous about people judging me while I'm in there. Or accidentally running into someone I know 😳😰

I go in with hubby sometimes and always feel awkward like the employees are watching my every move. Idk. Just me

Honestly I did at first, but once you get in there the people working are so sweet and so helpful, and it's such a comfortable environment

I feel somewhat awkward about it, my old coworkers girlfriend works at the one I usually go to and she's super nice and helpful but it's a little awkward because I know her outside of the store as well
