Is it normal?

So I'm gonna be 39wks tomorrow. And all day today I been having this pain in my tummy, well more like my top abdomen area.. like my ab muscles are sore or being stretched with random litto period like cramps. And I'm not sure how to make it go away or if it's some kind of worrisome pain I should call the drs about.

Are you sure they aren't contractions? Contractions can start at the top of the uterus and work their way down. I've been having period cramps for a few weeks now, but no tightening of my stomach and no real contractions yet. You may want to call the on call number for your office and just talk to them to be sure.
