Hey girls so I've been dating this amazing guy for 2 years now and we don't argue alot but we just had our first argument in forever. He's upset with me and I feel terrible! Idk what to do. His mom said that she thinks we should take a break because according to her we rely on each other too much and that made me really upset and she told me to consider it. When I got back to my apartment I was crying then when Sam (my bf) got home from work he asked what was wrong and I told him. He said he knew his mom felt that way but I don't get why he didn't tell me sooner. He said what his mom said doesn't matter and that he wants to be with me but then I said "maybe she's right. She said it's best for you to be independent and I don't want her to hate me for going against her" and I also said in don't want to be somewhere where ik not welcome. idk why his mom is doing this tho. She liked me and loved when Sam and i went to visit (they live close) but I love sam. He means everything to me. Sam said he loves me too much to let me go. I don't want to break up with him. But he said if I'm doubting our relationship so much then maybe we need to take a break so I can figure out what I want in life. Now he's upset and doesn't want to talk to me. Please help. What do I do???
