Who thinks you can spoil your baby too much

My sister and hubby thinks I spoil my baby too much. He is 5 months old and my 1st baby.  I don't feel I should let him just cry if I'm not doing anything.  They say he is controlling me because I come to him every time he cries. I don't understand why do I have to let him cry if I'm available

If u can then I do!!! Probably gonna be harder on us later but I'm glad my baby feels safe and Loved and knows I will meet her needs always! That's my job!!!

The best thing I've ever heard was, we seek loved ones when we are sad or in need of comfort. We want to be comforted by family and friends. So why is it ok to listen to your infant cry in a different room alone? I get when they're older and there's a lesson to be learned. But at 5 months, they're not scheming! It's natural that they're looking/calling on you for comfort. Go with your feels, mama🤗

Your mommy instincts know what to do. Our babies cry because they need something... Be it a feeding, diaper change or just some mommy time. By comforting or being attentive to your crying baby every time, you are teaching your baby he can rely on you when he needs you. Your baby will be much happier and your bond much stronger. Keep doing what you are doing, ignore the fam... Mommy really does know best! Or print out some info for them to read on the subject! There is so much research on this!

Babies don't spoil, all they need is their parents for comfort and to fulfill all their needs so that they can grow healthy and happy. Don't listen to others who are trying to ruin your bonding time with baby.

My favorite phrase is, "they're only little once". So if I'm constantly anrly holding him, or a try to never let him cry, or if I do whatever else I want to and people say he's spoiled I say yeah that's fine. It's your child, and it doesn't matter what anyone else says!
