induced for big baby?

I've been having growth scans as baby is measuring 2-3 weeks ahead. Has anyone been or had discussed that they will be induced because of the size of their baby? 
My next appt is this week with consultant.

It's not necessary. I have been measuring a head too. My midwife was just concerned about the amount of amniotic fluid in me not worried that I can't push out my baby. He's gonna be a bit bigger, but nothing our bodies can't handle.

I'm being induced tomorrow because of baby's growth but she's on the small side apparently... although according to their growth chart she would still be over 6lb. My cervix is soft and I'm already dilating, had my membrane sweep and lost plug and bloody show so I know my body is ready now anyway! So hoping being induced won't be as long and painful as some other people's experiences!

My baby is measuring about 3 weeks bigger than where she should be. My doctor first brought up c section and I had to ask her about induction. She won't induce more than a week early, but I would much prefer that to c section. My next appointment is later this morning so I'm hoping to get a better idea of the plan then.

My little guy is measuring two weeks ahead, at my 36 week growth scan he was weighing in at 8lbs. I told my doctor I would like to be induced, and he said he wouldn't induce any soon then 39 weeks which is perfectly fine. Technically I don't need to be induced and doctor isn't making me but I'd prefer to be induced rather then going to his due date. I'm going to be honest, I'm scared. My first baby was 7.13. I know that ultrasounds are typically off, but because I had absolutely no problems when I was induced with my daughter I'm choosing to do so again this time around.

I would just be careful with induction. The amount of Pitocin they gave me to induce labor caused my baby girl to get jaundice.
