Why can't I just be excited?

Question

Hi! I am 7w4d, and I had two miscarriages before. One at 6w and other at 5. I have three girls. I just have a "fear" something is going to go wrong. I just can't stop myself. Every time to go to the bathroom I look for blood. Had a us at 7w and saw a heartbeat and all. I barely quit smoking and I just am too paranoid. I will I can just fast forward to the second trimester. : /

I can relate to this. I had a missacariage last year and am currently 7 weeks and 2 days. I haven't even told my family I want to wait until I have my 1st ultrasound on Jan. 19th. People are telling me to be happy and be thankful not to worry that it's a blessing regardless of what happens. I can not get myself to but I'm trying to be excited. My friend got me a baby book for Christmas and I have yet to start it even though I really want to. I too look at the toilet paper every time I pee it's habit.

I am so glad I am not crazy.  Let's hope we can just get past the first 12 weeks, and then feel relief. :)

I'm right there with you. Can't wait to hear a heartbeat and get prenatal blood work back. We didn't find out we lost our last baby until 12 weeks, and I didn't miscarry until 13 weeks. I'm having an ultrasound at 10w1d, which is 5 days away. I'll get the prenatal blood work on the same day. Until those results come in, it's going to be rough. Being sick and tired all day long does not help.

I feel you. I am 5 weeks 5 days. I've had a miscarriage and an ectopic before. My blood work looked good this week, but I am still very nervous. Bathroom breaks are the worst.

I felt the same after I got pregnant with my son following an early miscarriage. I felt that way until I was like 20 weeks maybe even beyond! But he's here and healthy:) I now, I felt the same with this one too the first week I found out I was pregnant. I've slowly allowed myself to release fear and am feeling more secure each day (it's a battle) but I totally get you. It's so nerve wrecking! Praying and wishing you all the best for a happy healthy pregnancy and birth!

me too ive had 3 miscarriages and im very happy this one is sticking around i just still cant believe it and im very scared also cheking for blood all the time i tell myself everything is ok but at the same time i just cant stop worrying about it. The only thing i do is pray and hope for the best!

This is my second baby. I've had no miscarriages, it took us a bit to get pregnant this time though and I had a chemical last month so I'm beyond paranoid this time around. I refuse to do anything to get ready for baby until I'm in my 3rd tri. I feel like such a pessimist and it makes me feel terrible but I can't help it. I'd say it's normal, and even more so because Pf your losses. Praying for sticky babies for us all ❤️
