What was the hardest week postpartum?

Week 1 and 2 were actually amazing.. even though I was getting blood and milk everywhere, I was just so happy to finally have my son lol. My hormones were crazy and I was so happy about everything I would just cry happy tears all day haha.

Week 3-6 was horrible. I had the baby blues so bad and the exhaustion started setting in. I felt really lonely. Once my son hit 6 weeks though he turned into a completely different baby, we actually got on a schedule and he started sleeping through the night.

My advice would be to make sure you have as much help as possible. I'm a ftm and my SO had to go back to work 3 days after we got home and I don't have much family where I live so I was kinda on my own.

Honestly weeks 1-6 were a nightmare to me. After that it seemed to get easier each week... going on 15 weeks now :)

Week 1 went by in this haze and rush. 4 days in hospital after a c-section and then once home I had a tonne of help and people round and we were busy planning a party for my baby. Then week 2 came and reality set in and suddenly hormones were flying, every night was tears and breakdowns. Every morning unbelievable joy. Started to push my body to do normal things and was still in pain from the section. Still taking injections and daily appointments for baby. Seemed like no time for anything and baby was adjusting to us too. We kept making rookie mistakes like choosing to spend time together rather than sleep when baby slept and then struggling all night with him. Sigh. It felt so hard.

Week 4 not anything to do with me, but my son got colicky that week and has been since😔

I picked week 4... because although by that point I was physically feeling a ton better, that's when the baby usually stops sleeping as much...
