First time + Condoms!

I'm 15 and a half and have been with my boyfriend for almost 7 months. He makes me so happy and we both are prepared to have sex. We have both looked in condom types and found Skyn non-latex to be the best. By experience, is polyisoprene in the non-latex more durable than latex? Our biggest concern is pregnancy because my mother would never let me be on birth control because of the many side effects! I need advice please !!!
