lightning crotch = Dilation ??? 😳

Okay so I am now 30 weeks pregnant and for the last few days I have been having increasingly sharp pains in my vagina (lightning crotch??) it happens when I am laying down, sitting, walking... I looked it up and some things I have read said that it is just the baby's head hitting against the cervix, and other places I've read that it could be because of dilation/effacement. I'm just curious as to if anyone has had these pains and were told at their check up that they we're dilated any. This is my second baby and I can't remember if I had this with my last or not (it was over two years ago). My next appointment isn't until the 19th at  32 weeks. Anything is helpful. Don't wanna stress myself about thinking it's me dilating and it be for nothing. My husband leaves this weekend for two weeks and I don't want anything happening while he is away!! Thank you ladies 🙂
