How to ask your mum to put me on birth control?

Helpppp! I need to go on birth control but am tooooooo scared to ask my mum. She knows im not a virgin but not that im still having sex. I am 15 & 1/2. How do I ask her? What if shes not understanding? How did you guys ask & were u scared? How did it turn out?

You could always use the excuse that you have terrible menstraul cramps or irregular cycles.

If you don't feel comfortable you can make yourself an appointment at the parental clinic and they will give you some without her knowing.

If your mom still says no then you can get birth control and condoms for free from your local health department or planned parent hood without your parents consent.

Explain to her that you are trying to be responsible. Let her know you have done your research on STD'S  (and actually go and do some research). Let her know that you will also be using condoms to prevent STD'S (and actually use them), but you'd like the added protection of birth control. No parent wants to know that their "Baby girl" is sexually active. If you aren't currently having sex, tell her that, it will relieve her. Let her know you just want to be prepared in case you make the decision to engage in sexual activity. If you aren't comfortable speaking to her about it, write her a letter. I hope everything works out for you. There are some nasty STD's out there, trust me. Raising a baby is not easy and I'm glad that you recognise that and want to take the proper precautions. If a conversation with your mom doesn't go well, contact a local "Planned Parenthood", or talk to a counselor at school. In many areas, you can call 211 and they have resources available as well.
