scan advice?

We've paid to have a private scan because of our previous miscarriage! I'll be 7weeks 5 days, do you think it'll be a tummy or vaginal scan? 
Also, how much will I be able to see? X

Depends on a lot of things. I would recommend going in with a full bladder. That can make it easier to see baby.

It may be over the belly but it'll more likely be vaginal for a better image.

Vaginal scan that early. Typically a heartbeat can be found around 7 or 8 weeks. If you for sure conceived on schedule you should hopefully see the heartbeat. At 6 weeks my baby had no heartbeat yet and was right on schedule, so if your cycle was late by a few days then you may or may not see the heartbeat. Good luck!
