what to expect after circumcision

Hey mummies! My twin boys are getting circumcised tomorrow and am wondering what everyone's experiences are with aftercare and any tips they may have. Our dr has given us a list of what to do pre and post the surgery but I wanted to see what everyone's experiences are. Thank you in advance.

Make sure you keep the skin pushed down! I didn't know what to expect or look for but my husband was good at checking it to make sure the skin was pushed down. A couple times the skin had kind of grown back up and baby boy bled when we pushed it back down. 😢 but baby wasn't in pain like I thought he was going to be. I would dab a little Vaseline on his penis or the diaper every diaper change too. It takes awhile for it to heal so just be patient.

We covered a piece of 4x4 gauze with vaseline and put it on the tip of his penis. We changed it every diaper change (obviously) and it healed in 10 days without any problems! It never bothered him. If any poop gets on it, you can sprinkle some water on it to get it off since you don't want to wipe it.
