Yellow light dilemma? 🚦⚠️🤔

When this happens to you, what do you do?
You are driving along almost at the light and the light suddenly turns to yellow. 
Do you slam the brakes and stop. (Risk getting rear ended)🚗🚙🚚
Or
Do you speed up and try to get through the yellow light before the light turns red? (Risk running a red light and possibly getting a ticket)🚓👮

I'm always able to tell. If I have to speed up il just stop and if I have to slam on the breaks then il just keep going. I'm always able to make it through the light or stop on time.

If you slam on the breaks, you shouldn't be driving. Yellow lights are for caution that it's going to be turning red. If it's turning yellow as you are about to go through, then you do not have time to stop. If you have time to stop, then you should. It's a judgment call. But if you're so close to the light that you would have to slam on your breaks, you need to keep going.

Depends on how fast I going, and where I how close I am to the light. If I can brake safely, I will. I have no problems explaining to an officer that I felt unsafe stopping at that point and that being the reason I ran the light though.

The yellow light means "slow down" not "speed up", unless there is absolutely no way to brake safely. Everyone should be following the road rules.

I said speed up but for me it really depends if I can stop in time and what speed I am already doing. I think it's safer to go through if you are at speed and know it would cause an accident if you slammed on the brakes.

I don't know about you guys. But I'm about to get my license and I've been taught when approaching lights, to hover my foot over the break and slow down a little. Then if you reach the line and the lights haven't changed to speed up again and look around the intersection. I think if everyone did that, they'd never really have that problem of running the light I suppose or at least it wouldn't be as common

I keep going the same speed. the point of a yellow light is that to clear the intersection, if you don't have enlugh time/space to stop then complete the intersection.
