How scary is labor?

Question

First time mom, I'm 26 weeks. I becoming anxious and nervous about labor and delivery. I'm curious as to how scary and your first thoughts when you realized you were in labor?

Wirh my first pregnancy I was nervous as I simply couldn't imagine what was going to happen. Would I know I was in labour? Would I survive the pain? How the heck is a baby supposed to come out of there? Will it be very sore afterwards etc. Well I can honestly say , our bodies are simply amazing. Things get started ( and you WILL know lol) and somehow everything just happens. You go with it, you don't think about anything anymore, and you have people there supporting you every step. Now with rhis pregnancy I am actually even a bit excited - not about the pain lol- but just the experience of my body doing the most incredible thing : bringing life into the world. And there is no greater feeling than having your little one placed on your chest. It is not easy, it isn't fun but it is oh so worth it!

Labor was exciting! Until you actually are going through the hardcore contractions...then you don't feel anything emotionally but pain/focus. And then afterwards it kind of kicked in like "omg, what was that. That was the worst thing ever. Thank god it's over."

I was nervous the weeks leading up to labor, when I actually went into labor I was so concentrated on my body that I wasn't nervous at all, there were moments when I would get anxious but my husband was very good support. I just kept telling myself that it was all worth it and i thought about how my baby was going to look

Was never nervous or anxious. I had researched and gone through the anatomy classes (I work in healthcare). I had done all the prep work for relaxation and meditation techniques during labor.

I was so anxious even when I was admitted into the hospital. The hours that contractions became too painful I can't even remember so I must've not been too focused on being nervous but breathing through that pain! I had a terrible birth with no doctor present and no pain medication and even though I kept saying I couldn't do it or push anymore, or deal with the pain, I did it! And it was beautiful on the other side with a little baby here with us. All the anxiety and pain is worth it. Try not to stress out or over think too much. Just relax and rest, what will come will come, and you will do just fine!

I haven't experienced labor yet, but I'm so scared as well. I'll be 36 weeks on Friday and I'm getting so nervous lol.

Labor is not easy . Mine is a horrible one with my son. But, once you have the baby and seeing their smile u'll forget everything . 
After my son I thought I'll never have another baby and asked my Dr about tying my tubes but she said I'm too young for that . 
But now I'm here pregnant with my second and dreaming of my lil baby.. 
I know labor will not be easy and I have to go through that again ... I can do it again and again for those happy babies ... I so in love
